VOICE

On Saturday, January 25, 2020, VTM in partnership with the HCC MLK Day of Service Project and Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation, hosted its 7th Youth Empowerment Workshop. 

 

TRUTH

Over 100 middle & high school boys registered to attend, over 50 adults participated as volunteers, and over 30 organizations and businesses collaborated with the event.

 

HOPE 

The objectives are to improve interest in higher education, increase community involvement, encourage economic and personal development, stimulate dialogue, and to aid in minimizing the likelihood of young boys falling into the systematic cycle of poverty and/or incarceration.

 

EMPOWER

Participating community leaders consisted of Bryant Mitchell (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Mohammed Abukhdeir (Mayweather Boxing & Fitness), Derek Watford (High Point Gamer), Nathan Mitchell (Motivational Speaker), Djuan Ballinger (The Stompdown), Marcus Howard (Tampa Association of Gaming), DJ Ekin (Radio Personality), Bruzenskey Bois (Real Estate Investor), Marques Gundy (Reverend), DJ Silencer (Official Event DJ).
