Music Mogul Launches Charter School in Harlem

Hip Hop Music Mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs recently revealed that the Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School, an educational initiative that has taken roughly five years to solidify, will begin classes in the Fall of 2016. In a recent press release the mogul stated:

"Creating this school is a dream come true for me. I want to impact the lives of young people in my community, and build future leaders. The first step is offering access to a quality education."

No stranger to higher education himself, Sean Combs attended Howard University in the 90's as a Business major. Just one semester shy of completing his degree program, the music executive left Howard to pursue his musical endeavors full time. In 2014, Howard University presented Sean Combs with an honorary Doctorate in Humanities while serving as keynote speaker during the commencement ceremony.

"Every young person should have the tools they need to succeed. All our children should be able to pursue their dreams. That is something I can impact with this school," continued Combs.

We congratulate Sean Combs on his efforts to #VoiceTheMovement through Entertainment and Education. For more information on the Charter School visit http://capitalprepharlem.org.
